CDS Jr. Champs 2017

Lydia and Quinn went to their final Jr. Championships together this year and we are all a little bit sad about it.  This pair was 1st level Champion last year, so we had high hopes for them again.  Jumping from 1st level to 3rd level this year, Lydia and Quinn started the weekend strong with a test run on Friday at 4-3 to prepare for their upcoming move to PSG.  They scored above 60% and had a lovely test!  PSG here we come!

On Saturday they finished in 3rd place out of 8 riders in the 3rd Level Jr. Championship class.  It was a lovely ride and Quinn beat out some nice horse and rider pairs.

Sunday wasn’t quite as smooth with the day growing long and the class being the last to finish for the day.  Quinn wasn’t feeling it quite as much as he had on Friday and Saturday and they ended up in 5th place overall in their division.

We are so thrilled with how well Lydia and Quinn have done these last few years.  They have grown so much together and they have worked their way to the PSG level with a ton of hard work and dedication.  They’ll be finishing the year showing at PSG and Quinn will likely be going on the market before Lydia leaves for college.  It’s the end of an era and we couldn’t be prouder of them!
