Two pairs from Team BEST went out at Yarra Yarra this past weekend with some goals to meet. For a show in summer, the weather was fantastic and we appreciate Yarra Yarra and Laurie for always putting on a lovely, organized show show.
Kelly and Tamale have been polishing their 2nd Level skills this year and this show hard work paid off. Tamale showed some really lovely work in the trot and the canter – diagonal- counter canter movement which they have been doing a lot of homework on (and received high marks on that one!). Tamale was MUCH more chill this show with less drama, but still plenty of anticipation. He’s such an overachiever with a few really nice looking steps of piaffe shown (HA!). He’s going to kill it in the upper levels and he wants to let us know that ;) . They walked away with two respectable scores for their efforts. A big congratulations to Kelly for earning her CDS Ruby GEM award this show (and is now 2/3 of the way to her Bronze Medal). Keep up the good work!
Brenda and Trevor continued their I1 campaign with their eye on All Breeds. With two lovely tests showing improved pirouettes and extensions, they walked away with two good scores and are now qualified for All Breeds at I1 for the Arabian Horse Association.
Objectives complete! We’ll see Kelly and Tamale back showing this year, but Trevor might be wrapped up (TBD). Brenda will be showing with Willa in a few weeks to start getting her qualified for All Breeds at 2nd Level. See you at the next one!
