On Saturday, Nova and Brenda set off to continue what they’d been doing the day before down at Dancing Kings. Once again at 3rd Level Test 3, they were fantastic with a 65.125% and 66.125% and two more blue ribbons from Olympic judge Mike Osinski. That 66.125% earned them the Barons High Point for the show! Congratulations Brenda, Julie and Nova! Nova is qualified for USDF Region Championships and CDS Championships and they will be going to compete if all things go as planned.
On day two (the August show is two separate shows), Brenda made the trip again with Willa and Kelly and Tamale joined in the fun.
Kelly and Tamale showed much improved tests again and he’s getting so much more relaxed at shows. The simple changes are still blowing his mind unfortunately as he’s just got so much go. Unfortunately at 2nd level you can’t get away with that as it blows so many boxes when there’s tension around them. There was also a small error of course that cost them that much wanted 60% (and they were SO SO close this time). Going forward to next season they’ve decided to move on to 3rd level as he’s already got good changes and that should solve the issues that are occurring now at 2nd to move beyond the simple changes and his frustration with them. Kelly has shown a lot of good riding and tenacity this year to get through one of the hardest levels. We’re looking forward to next year!
Brenda and Willa went out and continued to do what they do, show consistent good tests at 2nd level. Willa may not be a big flashy mover, but she sure does know how to catch the eye and be a good girl in the ring. A 64.048%, 64.714% and a 65.833% and more blue ribbons. Even better, Willa is now qualified for USDF Region Champs and CDS Champs and they will be going if all goes to plan. She’s also now qualified for All Breeds.
We’re looking forward to Championships and looking forward to next year for all of our other show pairs.
