Show season is starting to wrap up with no one going to Championships or RAAC this year for various reasons…so our last big outing of the season was Yarra Yarra. Three pairs from Team BEST made the trip over for a quite warm show day.
Kelly and Tamale had a bit of an interesting day that ended up with some excellent stuff and some disappointing stuff. They had a fantastic 67.879% in their 1st Level Test 2 class and a blue ribbon in a larger class which was amazing. However their two Test 3 rides came with some errors of course that caused them to not quite score up to their par (and also messed up their All Breeds Qualification by 0.278% which is incredibly frustrating). However Kelly is a great sport and we all learned some lessons on that one this weekend (like the arena steward might just tell you the wrong test when you ask what class it is…whoops!).
Brenda and Willa went out for fun to try a 1st Level Freestyle. Brenda reworked her floorplan to suit her 4th Level Freestyle music for Panterra/Trevor and it worked out well with a nice 65.139% for that freestyle debut. She also go to wear her new custom pink coat for her Birthday!
Lisa and Layla had a little bit of an uncharacteristic day. Their rides didn’t go as smoothly as they normally do and Layla seemed to be lacking a little bit of energy. She was a good girl though and we’re glad Lisa stuck in there. We’ve enjoyed having this pair in our program.
