Sounds like a child’s book title and kinda felt like a story book experience.
Big beautiful amazingly talented horses with extraordinary movement were everywhere. So many scores of 70+ on the score boards!
This was Willa’s second time ever staying overnight away from home for a competition and to be in such a BIG atmosphere of excitement, colorful vendor tents, people, horses, dogs, music and with activities happening everywhere, she was a bit overwhelmed.

So proud that she knew her job and did the best that she could every test with scores up to 67%. She placed 6th in each of her classes. First day was the Welcome test with 13 riders, second day was the USDF class that she had to get two scores over 68% to qualify for and the third day was the CDS class that she had qualified for as well.
She was one of the very few horses of color at show. Maybe the only Appaloosa? She received lots of compliments and made lots of new friends.

Thank you to Heidi Gaian for being such a great coach and support at the show and always! Thanks to Julie, Kelly, Chloe and Anne for coming out to help and cheer us on! Thank you to all of the Willa fans at home that sent their wishes of luck! Thanks to Devoucoux for the most comfortable saddle and Caballo cookies for always making Willa happy.
Willa is happy to back home with her barn buddies and is ready to start working on her first and second level moves as well as some trail rides, jumping and even dipping her hooves in some working equitation.
